J.K. Mayer is a transplanted New Yorker now calling Florida his home. He was programming computers for the United States Air Force and the Boeing Company in the 1960s.
An ex-stock broker, he travelled 11 states in the eighties speaking to customers of a major brokerage firm extolling the virtues of tax-advantaged investments. His later ownership of a travel agency allowed him to travel the world which convinced him that there is “No place like home.”
Most recently, dealing with the appalling and frightening rise in online, mail and telephone scams compelled him to share his knowledge of how to avoid and combat them with a wider audience. Hence this book, the contents of which will help every reader do the same.
